This project focuses on professionalization within community-based programs. Research seeks examples where community-based practitioners have been accredited, and the benefits and disadvantages of that professional designation. The data gathered has the potential of either confirming the existing structure which sees the Nova Scotia Restorative Justice Program being delivered by staff and community volunteers who are not required to belong to a professional association, or becoming the basis for a move to certify practitioners.
